Consejos para la planificación de sus primeras vacaciones A Bali
Are you planning to visit Bali any time soon? If you are planning for your first holiday to this paradise island, there are some things that you need to know. As one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, Bali has a lot to offer. Besides its beautiful beaches, lush rice paddies, and mouth-watering food, this exotic island is also famous for its unique Hindu culture. You won't find this anywhere else, not even in other parts of Indonesia. If you are lucky, you can even witness some traditional Balinese Hindu ceremonies and festivals that are held at certain times of the year, such as Ngaben or Pagerwesi.
As a first-time visitor, you might be wondering what it's like in Bali. Will you feel out of place or will you feel welcomed during your stay? Will there be anyone to help you when you are lost? Most of the travellers who have been to Bali agree that the Balinese are very charming and friendly people. You will find that they are more than happy to assist you during your stay. Although Indonesia is a non-English speaking country, you don't have to know Bahasa Indonesia or the local dialect. Most Balinese are able to speak English, even though their English is quite limited.
If you are not familiar with the concept of independent travel, you can join a package tour. Your tour agent will arrange your flight, accommodation and all the activities that you are going to do during your stay in Bali. There are many types of packages to choose from, such as honeymoon tours, adventure tours (bungy jumping in Denpasar, white water rafting in Telaga Waja river, etc), and village tours to Kintamani or Ubud. However, a package tour has its drawbacks. You will have to stick to the tour itinerary and you won't get to do things at your own pace. You will also have less privacy since package tours are usually done in big groups.
For a more private holiday experience, it would be better if you prepare everything by yourself. One of the things you have to do in advance is booking an accommodation. You can consider renting a private villa as they offer more privacy than hotels. There are lots of private villas for rent all over Bali that offer idyllic ambiance and luxury features. For a cliff side view of the ocean, you can rent a villa in Uluwatu. If you want to enjoy the view of beautiful rice terraces, you should stay in Tabanan. Rent varies between $200 and $5000 per night, depending on the location and the number of the rooms offered.
To explore the island in its entirety, or if you want to get from one side of the island to the other side, you can always rent a car. There are many car rentals scattered throughout Bali. One of the advantages of renting a private villa is that you can use the car and driver service provided by the villa. While some villas offer free car and driver service, others might charge you for fuel consumption.
